Plane Crash
|
|
A day in the life of a tv photog...woke up to my smiling kid...what a cutie...dropped him off at daycare and went to work. I was sent to a plane crash and we loaded into a live truck and headed out. We arrived at the scene and luckily we had another photog there because he was able to shoot while I worked the live truck. Two people died and two were seriously injured in the freak accident. It sounds like it was a good landing but for some reason the plane flipped over. It was a hot sunny day and we improvised with an umbrella on a light stand(another use for duct tape).

Various Media Pics

These are pictures of a couple of different places. The first was a sad murder of a grandmother. She was robbed of a little money and the intruder killed her. He was caught but what a waste. The lady live right next to her church. I shot a few shots of the neighborhood signs and one shot of the house.
The other is of tornado damage that hit Jackson, TN in May. It was a devastating tornado. Check out the shots of the Satellite truck. We have to edit our stories with a laptop editor in this truck.

Chinese Pandas Arrive
|
|
Memphis got some pandas and Fedex went and picked them up. These are pictures of the party they had for them and pics of them being unloaded. YaYa and LeLe can now be seen at the zoo. It is a very nice exhibit. You can get face to face with them. They are that close.

Stax Records
|
|
Stax is back. When most people think of memphis music they think of Elvis Presley. Then they think of Soulsville. Stax Records was a place where hit after hit was churned out. Isaac Hayes. Sam and Dave. Booker T. and the MG's, Otis Redding and many more. After a church tore down the studio in the 70's, an idea was born and now we have Stax music academy and also a museum.
This was the grand opening of the Academy but now the museum is open too. The academy is awesome. There is a recording studio and computer labs. Anything an aspiring musician could want. Check out their website
